The man at the center of the universe

by Enzo Donnarumma (sorry for the bad translation)

"The man at the center of the universe." This is the slogan with which we are used to summarize the complex and revolutionary ideology with which the Renaissance to pour out his spirit in innovative cultural intellectuals and artists of the fifteenth century.
Renaissance. What a curious coincidence! Reborn ... The irony of the language sometimes betrays great truth accidentally, when one considers that the psyche of a man born just really considers himself the center of the universe, displaying that belief until the trauma of others to introduce the concept of company: your brother or your fellow asylum claim to have your own importance, and often manage to be even more important figures in being right when you fight, to receive more consideration and more affection than you.You can be very lucky if you can intelligere these traumas behind the concept of justice, but if it is not the first feelings of depression begin to make their way into your emotional world, as the world puts you aside, you do not like, do you consider thesecond, in fact you are no longer the center of the universe. End of the Renaissance! You're growing, you're missing in the maze of an anthill of people like you who try to support each other in some way to have the remains of the central position, in which cotton, years before, should understand that mom and dad cry was run to satisfy theyour weaknesses and your desires. What was your ego in your early years? Through which that Ego wanted at all costs to have a toy, without giving anyone, then let down after having run out of curiosity or fun that you sent. That Ego you jealous when something was delivered into the hands of your brother or sister, automatically becoming a factor of claim on your part. That Ego which aroused resentment in your heart when young, for some reason, it gave you a parent does not care. That Ego innate thing that made you really most important of all, more than others, the only thing that really existed. The experience regularly punishes the ego. More or less is always the case. It begins to feel the bitter taste of punishment in your criticism of a physical defect, not in a peer of the opposite sex attracted to you in a negative feedback from one of your public display of quality, the charge of be good at anything, an insult unpunished is inflicted on you by your own similar or higher, not to earn the position of pack leader of a group.Trauma on trauma experience hidden behind common and less common. Evidently, for instance, who in a community is considered the worst media will have more opportunities to experience the bitterness of a punch in the stomach in a brazen ego "You're ugly!" Trauma of a life can be more problematic than the average more humble the ego to put in a position to suggest you're different, unique in some way better (misunderstood genius) or worse ("I'm a nobody!").To speak in this way is somewhat risky: you can sin of superficiality too uniting the many facets of the traumatic experience of man. However, not wanting to simulate a treatise on psychology, it is undeniable experience of all the suffering deep wounds to the ego and emotions that will shape choices throughout their lives, when they come, the battlefield of life, a warrior with armor strong, armed with a sharp sword and the skill Counterattack: self-centeredness.Let's be honest a good time to ask ourselves until our vocations cultural, professional, emotional and our whole being is really coherent and justified only by the sincere passion, or rather also conditioned by a sense of revenge in wanting to reaffirm socialthemselves in a world that has put us in second place.Until, behind your dreams, no hidden regaining the glory that you deserve and that competition in a world of enemies you ripped?Since when, after you express an opinion in a discussion, not a hidden desire an end in itself to astonish the others that goes beyond the objective of confronting the sincere search for truth, a desire to show off regardless of the truth, to the point of trample .Until, behind your complaints of a life sacrificed, behind your impeccable honesty or no education lies the need to get respect from others?Until all the circles behind the ego regains lost? What are the consequences of living a self-centered? Allow me, there are many, often disastrous, including anxiety still do not feel satisfied after reaching your destination, if you succeed there, or the distortion of reality, which only seems to rotate around you, or seems to take playing you like a mischievous tyrant, or not being able to enter into life experiencing it as it is, with impartiality, but they suffer pathetically like a dream opaque veiled troubles continue, bitterness and hardship expenses trying to buy at a price that, in Actually, maybe you do not ever give thee! Not to mention yet of the damage done to the other, at the bottom, we're talking about consistent view of selfishness and I think only of your talk of discontent!Yes, because everything in the meantime, you become selfish. What is selfishness? Certainly it is a mindset that distorts the reality it is not possible that every time that you persecutes someone complaining of impropriety or economic wrongs to human, you've always right, others are always wrong. Never debate with someone on his behalf and your disadvantage ... ever! You can be the only one in the world to be right? Of course, if you are selfish, because morphine selfishness distorts perceptions of life and you just can not see it as it really is."Blind", "You do not see", "you have a beam in the eye" ... the words of Jesus of Nazareth want to report this way of life.

Culture, rationality, ideology

by Enzo Donnarumma (sorry for the bad translation)

Culture, rationality, ideology, consistency ... noblilizzazione terms that echo some of the animal-man, and giving it a distinct superiority over other animals certainly do not have these attributes. The culture allows the retention of intellectual and technical achievements attained by humanity throughout history and provides a large number of ways to reach others.Culture is the land on which the rationality lays the foundation for building ideology, a true home that preserves man, full of corridors that lead you through various rooms in his choices. The rent to be paid to live in this house is certainly consistent, because consistency is the opposite of contradiction, that the cancellation of ideology. Here the size noble man, a beautiful house where we barricade to escape from the elements of the unknown: what's out of this house? Something we do not know, maybe something beyond our control. Better to create us a nice high cultural ideology that gives us confidence and makes us feel relaxed, because the chaos that's out there we fear. And in this magnificent building you go to the barricades, hoping to have found the balance and the foundations of your life, unaware of having you build yet another idol to which you kneel in exchange protection and happiness.Yeah! You are unaware of this obstruction that you actually imposed on life and maybe you even ask the question can be cut to something higher and satisfactory, convinced that rocked the replacement protection of your parents, a true guide tomaybe life was better than the one you came from them and from school, which will suggest what is yours and what others, by whom and how to be loved, love and those who reject human contact from your address book ... be assured that discards many, because each one builds his palace ideological qualities vary depending on the degree of intelligence, culture, talent, sensitivity, and so on and so forth in this mess that you usually use to selectively evaluate who is or less worthy of your Darwinian selection of the human species! Many, many discards from your agenda, maybe not just those friends from whom you expect to disappoint your ideology, even close relatives ... or maybe your husband or wife or life partner. Only those who will stay with you is the etiquette of this ideology whose cosmic center is you, who are suited to your thinking, those looking at all costs suited to it, then collapse and cleared.Similarly you'll find people around you to discard the same principle: your ideology is not appropriate to them. And 'well-known fact that it hurts to be rejected, since there are essentially refers to the void. This is a case in which your ideological building can not do anything, do not kid yourself that if you discard those you do not know how to appreciate for what they are. "Here is the result of your ideology, foreclosing any possibility of power in social life and human relations, in the name of that notorious "renaissance" that you want the center of the universe. And now: who aspires to love you must pass the exams that your consistency puts him only to be suitable for you.How can a world run like that? You wonder why so much in front of a human system in which each ideological barricades himself in his palace? It is doubtful, I will say that a large group of people can not recognize themselves in their ideologies to the point where he could join and be united in friendship and choices. Thus was born the common ideology, born as the great intellectual currents that the school requires us to study and appreciate the importance of culture. This is how the great historical movements as passengers involving human creativity in its great arts: literature, art, music, etc.. This is how the major political parties as a result of which regularly plunge the world revolution, war, abuse, harassment, killings and corruption (one has to wonder if it really is so consistent in their thinking!). All this happens when a collective mentality manages to get lucky, otherwise, it vanishes into thin air or remain in the imagination of a utopian niche maldistribution.Returning in each single individual, that is you, drop fundamental human ocean, you will certainly find, as we said, he had many fights, held in the name of your building and discarded ideological, or even Essert ran into unforeseen dramatic that it does not had expected, remaining deeply burned. Often these moments coincide with your bitter curses leveled at Providence: "God, where were you while all this was happening to me? If you're really avoid much evil in the world "and this is especially true when it comes to identifying their ideology with the will of God, showing that God does not know all the statistics confirm that in addition to accusations of inconsistency leveled at priests and the church, about eighty percent of atheists reaches its position as a result of that bitterness fully observed. Are your two possible reactions:1) "The world is not for me, justice and love are utopia, living means not being understood by anyone." In so doing, continue to live in that idol sinking ideological asking you and gives you very little. Be assured that your life will always be unresolved, and your poor heart will get used to a terrible depression unconscious, or worse still, conscious.2) "Maybe I'm doing something wrong ...." This is my favorite reaction, one that, fortunately, I have experienced: reaction of humble mind. This reaction could open yourself up a gap that could lead you to the full understanding that, yes, you're all wrong! The human ideology is wrong and in its extreme narrowness leads right to the solitude which should protect, individual and also collective loneliness. The school, as mentioned above, requires the study of the major events of human thought and appreciate the cultural importance, but not despising the total ineffectiveness and punctual failure that arises in all its glory on total disaster.Leafing through a few pages of the Bible, especially the Old Testament, it is easy to find in the word "punish" God punishes the sins of mankind, even God punishes the sins of the fathers upon the children. Before closing forever the Bible would be helpful to know what's behind that ancient term translated from one language used in an ancient culture not exactly similar to ours. "Punishing" an important term. "God punishes" God reveals the fruit of the human disaster in its entirety, without justifying or covering it, so that you can say, "Maybe I'm doing something wrong ...."That your disaster, the point of leaving dangerous consequences in the lives of our children, this manifests itself in a moment of your life, perhaps favorable for your reflection.Divine punishment is equivalent to the crisis, the crisis that swept through the famous famous followers of God before changing.

Suffering, martyrdom and the joy of redemption

On this there is now much to say. I'll try, but only very briefly to mention as a conclusion, what more in our
context appears to me as the most important thing.
Forgiveness and its realization in me, by way of repentance and discipleship, is primarily the center of all staff at every renewal. But precisely because the lost person is concerned in its most intimate, it is able to gather together, and is also the center of the renewal of the community. If it is taken away from me the dust and dirt, making it unrecognizable to me the image of God, then I become so very similar to the other also, who is himself the image of God, and above all I become like Christ, who is the image of God, without limitation, the form in which we were all created. Paul expresses this process in very dramatic terms: "The old image is gone, here it is a new sort, no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me" (Gal 2:20). It is a process of death and birth. I am torn from my isolation and are welcomed into a new community-subject, my "I" is inserted in the 'I' of Christ and so is joined to all my brothers.
Only from this deep renewal of the Church is born of the individual, the community comes together and supports life and death.
Only when we take into account everything, we see the Church in its proper order of magnitude.
The Church: it is not just the small group of activists who come together in a certain place in order to start a community life. The Church is not simply the great multitude of those who gather together on Sunday to celebrate the Eucharist. And finally, the Church is even more than the Pope, bishops and priests, those who are invested with the sacramental ministry. All these we have named belong to the Church, but the radius of the company in which we enter by faith, goes beyond, goes even beyond death. It includes all the saints from Abel and Abraham and all the witnesses of hope, which tells the Old Testament, through Mary, the Mother of the Lord and his apostles, through Thomas Becket and Thomas More, and finally to Maximilian Kolbe, Edith Stein, a Piergiorgio Frassati. It includes all the unknown and not elsewhere, whose faith no one knew except God, are part of it the men of all places and all times, whose heart reaches out in hope and love to Christ, "the author and perfecter of our faith, "as he calls the Epistle to the Hebrews (12.2). It is not the occasional majorities formed here and there in the Church to decide his and our journey. They, the Saints are the true, decisive majority, according to which we orient. We stick to it! They translate the divine in the human, the eternal in time.
They are our teachers of humanity, which does not abandon us even in the pain and loneliness, even in times of death rather walk beside us.
Here we touch upon something very important.
A worldview that can not make sense even to pain and make it a valuable not do any good. It fails just where does the appeared the decisive question of existence.
Pain on those who have nothing to say except that you must fight, deceive us.
Certainly we must do everything possible to alleviate the suffering of innocent people and to limit suffering.
But a human life without pain is not there, and who is unable to accept the pain, you subtract those purifications that only make us become mature. In communion with Christ the pain becomes so significant, not only for myself, as a process of ablative, when God takes away from me slag that obscure its image, but also beyond myself it is useful for all, so we can all say with Saint Paul: "I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill in my flesh what is lacking the sufferings of Christ for His Body, the Church "(Col 1:24). Thomas Becket, who along with the admiration and Einstein has guided us in the reflections of these days, still encourages us to be a final step. Life goes beyond the our biological existence. Where there is no reason worth dying for, do not go beyond the life more worthwhile. Where faith has opened his eyes and made us the biggest heart, behold, here buys all its power to illuminate this other phrase of St. Paul: "None of us lives to himself, and no one dies to same, because if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. Whether you live or whether we die, we are the Lord "(Rom 14.7-8). The more we are rooted in the company of Jesus Christ and all who belong to Him, the more our lives will be supported by the radiant confidence that once again St. Paul gave expression: "Of this I am certain: neither death nor life, nor angels, nor
powers, nor things present, nor future, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord "(Rom 8.38-39).
Dear friends, let us fill like we have faith! Then the Church grows as the path to communion and in real life,
and then it is renewed day by day. Then it becomes a big house with many mansions, then the multiplicity of the gifts of the Spirit can work in it. Then we will see "how good and beautiful it is when brothers live together. It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on Mount Zion, and there the Lord brings blessing and life forever "{Sai 133,1.3).

Morality, forgiveness and atonement, the center staff reform

Let's take a moment, before going forward, as so far we have highlighted. We talked about a double "removing" an act of liberation, which is a dual action: purification and renewal. At first the conversation touched on faith, breaking the walls of the finite and free gaze to the size of the LORD, and not only the look but also the road. Faith is, in fact, not only recognize, but to operate, not only a breach in the wall, but a hand that saves, pulling out of the cave. From this we have drawn the conclusion, for the institutions, that ordering the essential thrust of the Church has always need of new developments so concrete and specific configurations - so his life can develop in a certain time - but which, however, these configurations can not become the essential thing. Indeed, the Church does not exist in order to keep us busy as any combination of worldly and the preservation of life itself, but does exist to become in all of us access to eternal life.
Now we must go one step further, and this does not apply to more general and objective which had so far, but the scope staff. In fact, even here, in the personal sphere, you need a "remove" to free us. On a personal level and certainly not always the "precious form", ie the image of God inscribed in us, to leap to the eye. The first thing we see instead only the image of Adam, the image of man not entirely destroyed, but still fallen. Let's see the encrusted dirt and dust, which are laid over the image.
We all need a true sculptor, who takes away that which disfigures the image, we need forgiveness, which is at the heart of any true reform. It is certainly not a coincidence that the three decisive stages of the formation of the Church, told in the Gospels, the forgiveness of sins play a crucial role. There is first hand over the keys to Peter. The power given to him to bind and loose, open and close, of which we speak, is, at its core, a post to let go, to welcome home, to forgive (Matt. 16:19). The same thing is again at the Last Supper, which inaugurates the new
communities from the body of Christ and the body of Christ. It becomes possible for the fact that the Lord will pour out his blood "for many for the forgiveness of sins" (Matt. 26:28). Finally, the Risen One, in his first appearance to the eleven, founded the fellowship of His peace that he gives them the power to forgive {Jn 20:19-23). The Church is a community of people who "do not need a doctor," but rather a community of converted sinners, who live the grace of forgiveness, in turn transmitted it to others.
If we carefully read the New Testament, we discover that forgiveness has nothing magical in itself, it, however, is not even a pretending to forget, is not a "do not like", but instead a very real process of change, which the sculptor accomplishes. The take away the guilt really remove anything, the advent of forgiveness in us is shown in the onset of penance. Forgiveness is a process to do so passive and active: the powerful creative word of God on us by the pain of change and becomes an active transformation. Forgiveness and repentance, grace, and his own personal conversion are not contradictory but are two sides of one and the same event. This merger of assets and liabilities expressed the essential form of human existence. In fact our whole set starts with being created, with our participation in the creative activity of God Here we reached a very central point: I believe that the core of the spiritual crisis of our time has its roots in the darkness of the grace of forgiveness. But first we note the positive aspect of this: the moral dimension begins again gradually to be held in honor. It is recognized, rather it has become evident, that all technical progress is questionable and ultimately destructive, if it is not a moral growth. It is recognized
that there is no reform of the human and humanity without a moral renewal. But the invocation at the end of morality is without power, because the parameters are hidden in a dense fog of discussion. In fact, the man can not bear the pure and simple morality, can not live by it: for him it becomes a "law", which provokes the desire to contradict and forth sin.
So where forgiveness, true forgiveness to full effectiveness, is not recognized or not you believe it, morality must be broken in order such that the conditions for the single man of sin can never really happen. Broadly speaking we can say that today's moral discussion tends to set people free from guilt, causing ever arrives to take over the conditions of its possibility. It also recalls the mordant phrase of Pascal: "Ecce patres, here tollunt peccata mundi." Here are the fathers, who take away the sins of the world. According to these "moralists," there is simply no longer any guilt. Naturally, however, this way of ridding the world of guilt is too cheap. Within them, people know very well that it freed all of this is not true, that sin exists, that they themselves are sinners and that there must be an effective way to overcome sin. Even Jesus himself did not call because those who have already liberated themselves and therefore - as they believe - they did not need him, but instead called those who know they are sinners and therefore in need of Him
The moral retains its seriousness only if there is forgiveness, a forgiveness real, effective, otherwise it falls into the pure and empty conditional. But true forgiveness is only if there is the "purchase price", 1 '"equivalent exchange", if the guilt has been expiated, if there is atonement. The circularity that exists between "moral - forgiveness - Atonement" can not be broken, if anything is missing everything else falls. Dall'indivisa existence of this club depends on whether or not the man's redemption. In the Torah, the five books of Moses, these three elements are inseparably tied to one another and therefore it is not possible by this compact city center belonging to the spin off of the Old Testament canon, in the manner of the Enlightenment, a moral law is always valid, leaving all the rest to history. This mode of actualization of the Old Testament moralistic necessarily ends in failure, at this point was already clear the error of Pelagius, who now has many more followers than it seems at first sight. Instead, Jesus fulfilled the whole law, not only a part of it, and it has renewed the base. He himself, who suffered expiate guilt, atonement and forgiveness is at the same time, so it is also the only sure and always a good basis of our morality.
You can not separate the moral from the Christological, because you can not separate the atonement and forgiveness. In Christ the whole law is fulfilled and thus morality has become a real, fulfilling requirements given to us.
Starting from the core of the faith, you open it again and again the path of renewal for the individual, for the Church as a whole and for humanity.

Joseph Ratzinger BEAUTY CHURCH 6

Sorry for the bad translation

The essence of true reform

The activist, who wants to build everything by itself, is the opposite of the one who admires (the 'admirer'). He narrows the scope of their reason and thus loses sight of the mystery. The more the Church extends the scope of things decided by itself and self-made, the more narrow it is for us all. In it the full size, liberating, is not constituted by what we do ourselves, but from what is given to us all.
What does not come from our will and invent, but is before them, a coming to us of what is unthinkable, what is more greater than our hearts. "The reformatio, that which is necessary in every age, is not the fact that we can reshape always New "our" Church as we like, we can invent it, but in the fact that we always blown away again support our own development, in favor of pure light from above that which is at the same time ' burst of pure freedom.
Let me tell you what I mean with an image, an image that I found in Michael Angelo, who takes his part in this ancient concepts of mysticism and Christian philosophy. With the eyes of the artist, Michelangelo saw already in the stone before him the image-guide who secretly waiting to be freed and brought to light. The task of the artist - in his view - was only to take away what still covered the image. Michelangelo conceived as a genuine artistic action to bring to light a set at liberty, not as a do. The same idea applies but the scope of anthropology, was already in St. Bonaventure, which explains the way through which man becomes truly himself, taking his cue from the comparison with the carver of images, ie with the sculptor. The sculptor does not do something, says the great Franciscan theologian. His work is rather a ablatio: This consists in taking away what is inauthentic. In this way, through the ablative, it appears nobilis form, that is the figure precious. So the man, that shine in him the image of God, must above all and first of all accept the purification, through which the sculptor, God, frees him from all the waste that obscure
the authentic look of his being, making it look just like a block of rough stone, but instead he dwells in the divine form.
If we understand correctly, we can find in this picture also the role model for the reform of the Church. Certainly, the Church will always need new structures to support human, to speak and operate at all times in history. These church institutions with their legal form, far from being something bad, on the contrary, in some degree, simply necessary and indispensable.
But they get older, are likely to arise as the most important thing, and so distract the eye from what is truly essential. For this they must always be taken away again, as scaffolding become superfluous. Reform is always a ablatio again: a take away, to make it visible form nobilis, the face of bride and together with it also the face of the bridegroom himself, the living Lord. Such ablative, such a "negative theology", is a path toward a goal of completely positive. Only then penetrates the Divine, and only thus stands a congregatio, an assembly, a gathering, a purification, pure that community might wish: a community where "I" is no longer against another "I", a " self against another self. Rather that give themselves, quell'affidarsi with confidence, which is part of love, becomes the mutual receive all good and all that is pure. And so each is the word of the generous Father, who to his eldest son is jealous is reminiscent of what the content of every freedom and every utopia realized: "All that is mine is yours ..." (The 15.31 ; dr.Gv 17.1).
True reform is therefore an ablative, as such becomes congregatio. Let us grasp in a somewhat 'more concrete idea of the fund. At first we had opposing activist approach to the admirer, and we were cast in favor of the latter. But what does this contrast? The activist, who always wants to do, places his business above all. This limits the scope of its horizon feasible, of what may become the subject of his work. Properly speaking, he sees only the objects. It is not able to perceive what is greater than he, as this would limit its activities. He shrinks the world to what is empirical. The man is amputee. The activist built himself a prison, against which he then protest loudly.
But the real surprise is a "No" to the limitation in what is empirical, in what is only the aldiqua. It prepares the man at the time of faith, which opens the horizon before the Eternal, the Infinite. And only that which has no limits is large enough for our nature, only the unlimited is appropriate to the vocation of our being. Where this horizon disappears, every trace of freedom becomes too small and all the releases, which in turn can be proposed, is a tasteless substitute, which is never enough. The first, basic ablative, which is necessary for the Church, is always again an act of faith itself. That act of faith that tears down barriers and opens the finite space to come up with the endless sea. Faith takes us "far away in boundless lands", as they say in the Psalms. The modern scientific thought has ever imprisoned in positivism, condemning it to pragmatism.
Thanks to him we can achieve many things you can travel from the moon and even further nell'illimitatezza of the cosmos. However, despite this, one is always at the same point, because the actual border, the border of the quantity and feasible, is not exceeded.
Albert Camus described the absurdity of this form of freedom in the emperor Caligula, everything is at its disposal, but all things are too tight. In his mad desire to have more and more, and greater things, he cries, I want the moon, give me the moon!
Now, meanwhile, has become possible for us to have in some way, even the moon. But until you open the actual border, the border between earth and heaven, between God and the world, the moon is just another piece of land, and do not reach us even one step closer to freedom and the fullness we desire.
The fundamental liberation that the Church can give us is it to be in the horizon of the Lord is come out from the limits of our knowledge and our power. The faith itself, in all its grandeur and magnitude, it is therefore essential to reform over and over again that we need and, since then we have it again and again to test those institutions that we ourselves have done in the Church. This means that the Church must be the bridge of faith, and that it - especially in his worldly associational life - can not become an end in itself. It's released today here and there, even in high ecclesiastical circles, the idea that a person is much more Christian than what is involved in church activities. It leads to a kind of therapy ecclesiastical activity, get busy, everyone is trying to assign a committee or, in any case, at least some commitment within the Church. In some way, so you think, there must always be an ecclesial activity, we must speak of the Church or you must do something to it or in it. But a mirror that reflects only your self is no longer a mirror, a window instead of allowing a free look to the distant horizon, is interposed as a screen between the observer and the world, has lost its meaning. It can happen that someone engaged continuously and church group activities, however, is by no means a Christian. Can happen to someone else instead of just simply living the Word and Sacrament and practice the love that comes from faith, without being ever appeared in church committees that have never dealt with the news of ecclesiastical politics, without having been part of synods and without Cast in them, and yet he is a true Christian.
It is a Church that we need more human, but more of a Church of God, only then it will be truly human. And so all that is man-made, within the Church, must be recognized in its pure nature of service and retire before the most important thing and that's the main thing. The freedom that we rightly expect from the Church and the Church, is not realized due to the fact that we introduce in it the principle of majority. It does not depend by the fact that the majority of the widest possible prevail over the minority more small as possible, it depends instead on the fact that no one can impose its own will on others, but all recognize related word and the will of the One who is our Lord and our freedom.
In the Church, the atmosphere becomes cramped and stifling the bearers of the ministry if they forget that the Sacrament is not a sharing of power, but instead of expropriation in favor of him myself, in the person to whom I must speak and act. Where the liability is consistent with increasing the growing autoespropriazione, there is no slave of; dominates the Lord and because there is the principle that: "The Lord is the Spirit. But where the Spirit of the Lord there is liberty "{2 Cor 3:17).
The more equipment we build, are also the most modern, the less there is room for the Spirit, the less there is room for the Lord, and there is even less freedom. I think we should, from this point of view, up in the Church at all levels of an examination of conscience unconditionally. At all levels, this examination of conscience should have a very concrete, and bear with 'him a ablatio leaving again reveal the true face of the Church. It could give us all a sense of freedom and of being at home in a whole new way.
